I keep finding these tiny white sort of angular shaped cocoons or egg
sacs on trees. I finally paused to look more carefully and found a mommy
spider guarding her eggs.
She sort of reminded me of a growling poodle, except a poodle bit
me once and I wouldn't want to tangle with another. I'd play with these
spiders again.
I've found these spider eggs on trees, bushes, and low growing ground cover
plants, including
Firebush,
Cassia, and
Black-Olive. I've mostly seen
them on the top of leaves, but I found these on some dead twigs:
