Three tiny hatchling alligators were in sight near the edge of the
water, but with mama on guard I thought it best not to approach closer
for better photographs.
There is one tiny alligator head sticking up above the grass in the
lower right corner:
Now we can see four little gators. Hopefully one day I'll run across
another batch of hatchlings and get a closer safe vantage point to take
pictures from. Meanwhile, let's get back to the grown up gators.
This
Snowy Egret was strolling along at a good clip. It's a very brave
bird. Look behind it!
My previous alligator page has more
pictures. You can also see an
alligator with a mouth full of pink bird on one of my Roseate
Spoonbill pages. There are a few other gator stories scattered
throughout my site, and I add things as I come across them when I have a
camera handy, so come back to see what else I find.
