The Jatropha Tree gets bright red flowers.  Mine is very little, but I've seen them in other butterfly gardens and they are a good nectar plant.

This male Monarch Butterfly is nectaring on Jatropha.

I don't think Jatropha is a native Florida plant, but it's pretty, and it's a great butterfly nectar plant, so I'm keeping mine.
