Fungi
Every so often I find an interesting mushroom or fungi-looking something. Here are the ones I found while I had a camera handy and a moment to stop and use it.

A couple of days later this one was dead, but it was right on the border of a blooming mushroom ring.  Some people call that pattern a faerie ring. It brings back fond memories of childhood stories.

This next pictures is a day after those above. It rained in between. The mushroom (or toadstool, or whatever it should be called) lifted and opened up more underneath.
