Asiatic Hawksbeard Youngia japonica
Asiatic Hawksbeard pops up here and there in my lawn.

I haven't seen much on it, but that could have a lot to do with the way the flowers stick up; they get mowed.

I imagine most folks would call this little wildflower a weed, but I like the tiny bright yellow flowers. Variety makes my lawn more interesting, and I often wonder what neat critter I might find on it one day, aside from that fly in the top photo.
