Palm Beach County Beaches 5 June 2010
It's June 5, 2010. The oil slick in the gulf looms in the background of my thoughts.

This weekend I made some time to go enjoy a few of the beaches in south east Florida. Here are some photos I took of our post-card clean beaches:

The beach is immaculate, and the water is crystal clear. There is no oil, and there is no tar.

When you look at the shell line, where the waves leave the little bits of broken, and if you're lucky, intact, shells and coral, there are no tar balls.

I've tried to limit my site to information that is useful and informative regardless of the date, but this spill caught my attention, so here it is.

Now I need to go work on the shore birds, but I'm nervous about exposing my camera to the salty air and sea spray.
