Black Widow Spider
This Black Widow Spider from Broward County, Florida, made her web in an in ground electrical box for parking lot lights.

Look carefully before you stick your hands into any holes!

The white ball in the pictures is her egg sac. I'd have loved to capture her, and open the sac, but I had to promise to keep my hands out of the box before they'd even let me look at the spider.... liability issues I presume. Oh well, perhaps I'll run across another Black Widow Spider someday. I left when they were getting the bug spray out - can't blame them I guess.
