White Ibis
Flocks of White Ibis birds often land in my yard, poking their long curved beaks into the grass in search of yummy critters to nibble on. I love watching them.

When I got this picture of a flock of Ibises in flight I was surprised at the black wing tips. The birds look white when they're standing on the ground.  After I took this picture, I noticed in the photo above that the black wing tips are showing a little on the bird on the left. The birds are too skittish to get close to, so I get my best look at them in the pictures I take.

Check out the wingspan in this juvenile Ibis:

The juvenile Ibis has soft brown colors on its feathers:

This photo of the two Ibis in flight is why I love going to the Wakodahatchee Wetlands time and again. Every time I go, I see something new, and often enough I get a few pictures that I like better than the ones I've taken before. It's a fabulous place!
