I ran out of space on my first page of Tricolored Heron pictures, so I'm continuing here and will add more as I take more. I can't wait for those eggs to hatch!
Tricolored Herons
I think of all the birds I've seen at the wetlands, the Tricolored Herons are the easiest to photograph. They play, pose, and get right in front of me while they do it.

It's all about the light. These Tricolored Herons are varying shades of slate blue, but they seem to change color before your eyes as the sun peeks in and out of the clouds.
