Roseate Spoonbill
Finally, I got a little closer to the Spoonbill! The old pictures are still here, I just bounced them back a page to show these first.

The Roseate Spoonbill flew in (while several people exclaimed, "Look, a Flamingo!), and landed not too far away from these Black-bellied Whistling Ducks:

when it suddenly whipped its head over and snapped at the duck on the right.

so she found a Tricolored Heron to bother.
It spooned its way through the shallows, as Spoonbills do, nudging up the bottom to scare up snacks, getting ever closer to the ducks.

The ducks moved off, one to each side, and continued moving out of her way,
