Zebra Heliconian "Birds and the Bees"

Now she's really coming out of her chrysalis. The other butterflies are
still there, one attached, and one still hoping for a piece of the
action that he's all ready missed. He hasn't figured that out yet though.
All three photos on this page are the big picture, followed by a closer view.
There's something about the end of the abdomen of this butterfly on the
left. He's ready. If you want to share the proper terms for a
description of that condition in butterflies, I'll post it here and
credit you with it.
The front of her chrysalis swings open like a hinge, and out she comes.
