I chased this pair around the yard until they gave up and let me play with them. I picked the branch they're resting on, and held it up to the light to view the colors on the upper surface of their wings.

You can't see the patterns and colors as clearly as if they'd opened their wings, but Sulphur Butterflies don't like to do that when they perch, and I didn't want to disturb this pair enough to try to make them let me see, so for these two butterflies, that's as good as it gets.
