Mating Orange-Barred Sulphur Butterflies |
You can't see the patterns and colors as clearly as if they'd opened their wings, but Sulphur Butterflies don't like to do that when they perch, and I didn't want to disturb this pair enough to try to make them let me see, so for these two butterflies, that's as good as it gets.
I do have photos of the upper surface of live Orange-Barred Sulphur Butterflies on my Orange-Barred Sulphur Butterfly and my Emerging Winter Form Female Orange-Barred Sulphur Butterfly pages.
