Monk Skipper Butterfly Asbolis capucinus
Monk Skipper Butterfly
This Monk Skipper Butterfly is sipping nectar from my Plumbago Bush. I see them on it fairly often.

They're also very fond of these Wild Petunias.
Usually when bugs wiggle in front of my camera it bugs me, but every so often I get a photo like this one and I'm glad they moved.
I hadn't done much with my skipper pages yet when I got an email from Tim Adams identifying every butterfly on my site that I hadn't looked up yet. Wow! I'm still catching up.

I had to go out and chase skippers to get more photos so I could do a page on each one. I'm still chasing them, but at least this Monk Skipper was cooperative enough to pose for me.

Thanks for all your IDs Tim!
