Great Blue Heron
I love those takeoffs and landings. Flybys are good too, but these big herons seem to come and go just before it's bright enough to take a picture in the morning and just after it's too dark in the evening. These are some of my earlier pictures. Come visit the next couple of pages about these huge herons; I've gotten a lot of practice and a better lens.

I got a little bit carried away with these birds and ended up with all of these pages about them; the higher numbers are the newest and have better pictures:
1: Great Blue Heron Eating A Catfish
2: Great Blue Heron Juveniles
3: Great Blue Herons Flying
4: Great Blue Heron Assorted Better Photographs
5: Great Blue Heron Parents
